Front Line Fitness

The current issue of Men's Fitness Magazine has 2 pages of my pictures of U.S. soldiers keeping fit in Iraq (April issue, pages 14-15). One of them, Sgt. Micah Tilley, wants to become a personal trainer when he leaves the Army, so I hope these pictures help him accomplish that. The soldier scaling the wall is Cpt. David Hile MD, an emergency physician at Baghdad's Combat Area Support Hospital, and at the time I was shooting these pictures he was treating an average of 30-50 battle wounded soldiers a day.

It's been 5 years since we invaded Iraq. 4,000 U.S. soldiers have lost their lives, almost 30,000 have been wounded.
